Chris Jack is a Principal with over 20 years’ experience leading large, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver city-shaping projects. His strength lies in unlocking value from projects to revitalise cities and enable lasting social, economic and cultural outcomes. He pairs technical delivery expertise with an ability to foster high-performing teams that excel in delivering complex projects, often with challenging timeframes, constraints and budgets.

For more than a decade, Chris has been at the helm of Aotearoa New Zealand’s largest infrastructure project, the City Rail Link. His collaboration with mana whenua, the community and client on the station designs has created a powerful expression of the city’s bicultural identity. The project builds on Chris’ earlier work leading the design of the Britomart Transport Centre, which established an integrated transport hub in Auckland’s downtown and catalysed the regeneration of lower Queen Street. Chris has also led significant masterplanning projects within the education sector, including the University of Auckland, where he has helped to unlock the campus’ potential to create modern and engaging learning environments.

Over the last five years, Chris has established himself in the South Island as a key leader of Jasmax’s Ōtautahi Christchurch studio, where he has played a pivotal role in delivering strategic projects across Christchurch, Queenstown, Wanaka and Dunedin. He is currently leading the design of the Cromwell Memorial Hall, Museum and Events Centre – a transformative development that will provide a new and improved destination for events, creative expression, and remembrance in Central Otago.
