Delegat Global Headquarters
Luxury and raw elegance define the design for this leading winemaker
Raw elegance
Working with Super Premium winemaker Delegat on its new global headquarters, Jasmax sought to design an interior experience redolent of the premium wines produced by the company and synonymous with its values of hospitality and investment in refinement. The headquarters is located on the 31st floor of the iconic PwC Tower and boasts an incredible outlook to nearby landmarks including the Waitematā Harbour and Rangitoto Island. The light-filled, elegant interior is centred on a spectacular tasting area and showcases natural materials, the finest craftsmanship and the almost obsessive attention to detail that defines great winemaking.
Underpinning the design of the space is the concept of ‘raw elegance’. This is expressed through a pared-back palette of natural materials, including stone, brass, leather, and timber, with the subtle use of lighting to create expressive moments throughout.
The adoption of limestone as a backdrop throughout the client reception and hosting spaces suggests the subtleties of terroir, the combination of raw elements and climate that are synonymous with the transformation of grapes into sophisticated, much-loved wines.
With highly polished finishes contrasting with textural treatments, the wall surfaces reflect and refract abundant natural light deep into the space. Timber panelling and cabinetry provide a material contrast, adding warmth and softness to the hosting spaces. The reception provides a light shelf for displaying Delegat’s portfolio of top-quality wines and features a sculptural light fitting mimicking the balloon forms of wine glasses. Inspired by the processes of grape growing, winemaking and the sophistication of the finished product, Delegat’s headquarters provides the perfect backdrop for connecting the business with its clientele.
