Shannon Joe

Shannon Joe joined Jasmax as a Principal, Head of Design and a member of the Executive Leadership Team in 2022. With a heavyweight portfolio spanning multiple sectors, Shannon is one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading architects, bringing extensive experience and winning drive to the business. 

An intuitive and highly collaborative designer, Shannon is inspired by the values of the people he works alongside and the history and culture of the places he works within. With a focus on designing for people, he works closely with clients, stakeholders and mana whenua to deliver high-performing assets and enhanced value to communities and the urban realm.

Shannon works alongside Principal Jun Tsujimoto to lead Jasmax’s Design Excellence process, providing valuable mentorship to design teams across all New Zealand studios including making a significant contribution to the practice’s international expansion and establishment of a studio in Sydney. 

Shannon is a registered architect in both New Zealand and Australia. He is a Chair of the Auckland Urban Design Panel and a registered Greenstar Practitioner.
