Michelle Harris

Michelle Harris is a Principal and Senior Architect at Jasmax, leading the practice’s newly established Melbourne studio. Michelle has over 20 years’ experience working across the community, education and social housing sectors. A skilled project leader with experience in managing large and complex projects, she is focused on achieving great outcomes for both clients and their community constituents.
Before joining Jasmax, Michelle was a Director at Canvas Projects. A leader in community co-design, placemaking, and cultural context, Canvas Projects became part of Jasmax in 2025. Michelle is working with Bayside City Council on Yalukit William Nature Reserve Gateway, has recently delivered the new Community Hub for Chelsea Primary School, and was instrumental in uplifting the brief for Truganina Community Centre for Wyndham City Council through inclusion of an integrated library. This was proposed by the local community as a critical deliverable for enhancing cultural literacy and community cohesion. Her current public sector portfolio builds on previous experience working with clients such as VSBA, Housing NSW, NSW Department of Education, La Trobe and Melbourne Universities, and Maribyrnong Council, among others.
