Anahera Rawiri (Ngāti Whātua) is a Principal at Jasmax and a cultural strategist and leader who has worked extensively with iwi and corporate sectors. With over 12 years’ experience in strategic design and implementation, stakeholder management and business development, her expertise has been underscored by her focus on outcomes that make a significant social and commercial impact.

Based in Jasmax’s Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland studio, Anahera leads the engagement process with Mana Whenua and works with practice groups to better understand cultural objectives. Her role as Kaihautū represents Jasmax’s next step to realising our bicultural design capability as outlined in our Manifesto.

As the Principal and Founder of ABH Limited, a consultancy spearheading private and public sector projects in property, health, Iwi, and Māori engagement, Anahera delivers advice through an Indigenous lens. She currently sits on the Waitematā Local Board, advocating for protecting and restoring local natural resources and supporting business and urban development.

Her vast knowledge of property development is in part due to her role leading the housing portfolio at Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Whai Rawa, in which she led Iwi and stakeholder engagement on various projects. Whilst in this role, Anahera was appointed by the Property Council of New Zealand to govern the Auckland Executive Committee to represent the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Whai Rawa and acted as the key spokesperson for housing, environmental initiatives, tribal narrative, and commercial direction and managed all stakeholder relations, including central and local government, consultants, community, and Iwi.

A member of Waka Māia, Anahera advocates for the proficiency of te reo Māori, supports emerging Māori designers in the development of their careers and guides cultural capability across the business.
