B:Hive honoured with WAF Award
We are thrilled to share that B:Hive at Smales Farm has won the World Architecture Festival (WAF) INSIDE: Office Award. Judges described the project as an exemplary example of a sustainable and flexible workplace.
“There is a generosity of spirit at play here and it is reflected in both the interior architecture and the level of detailing. The B:Hive is a state-of-the-art workplace; it signals what the future of work might look like and proves that quality is no longer the exclusive realm of firms large enough to afford it.”

INSIDE celebrates the world’s best interior architecture and runs alongside WAF. B:Hive was the only New Zealand project to make the highly competitive shortlist.
Located at Smales Farm, Takapuna on Auckland’s North Shore, B:Hive has been described as “a state-of-the-art workplace; it signals what the future of work might look like.”
This is the 10th award accolade for the project, which has already won the Supreme and Workplace Awards at this year’s Interior Awards, an NZIA Local Award for Interior Architecture, and an Australian Institute of Architects International Chapter Interior Award. B:Hive also received Excellence in the Commercial Office category of the PCNZ Awards.
Congratulations to our project team, client and collaborators!
This the second Jasmax project to win at the WAF 2019. City Rail Link won the WAFX Cultural Identity prize, which was announced in September.
