Cordis Hotel Auckland
The Pinnacle Tower completes the redevelopment of Cordis Auckland, making it New Zealand’s largest hotel

Providing world-class hospitality
The 17-storey Pinnacle Tower has created an elegant extension to the existing five-star Cordis Hotel, solidifying the global brand’s presence in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Situated on the elevated Karangahape ridge, the tower stands as a contemporary landmark, marking a significant gateway into the city centre. It introduces 244 additional guest rooms with panoramic views across the city to the Waitākere Ranges and Waitematā Harbour, making it the largest hotel in Aotearoa New Zealand.
The design reflects the client’s reputation for world-class hospitality, with interiors inspired by the city’s natural environment. The hotel features expanded amenities, including three new event spaces, a new Cordis Club Lounge, and a new Chairman’s Suite, one of the city’s largest luxury accommodation offerings. These additions increase the hotel’s conference capabilities and elevate the world-class service that Cordis is known for. A key feature of the new design is a gallery overlooking the street that connects the tower to the existing hotel. This gallery showcases New Zealand art, curated by Coupland Cormack in collaboration with Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei and Bernard Makoare.
