Stephen Thurman
Stephen Thurman is a Principal and leads the Jasmax Knowledge and Innovation team. This in-house technical advisory is responsible for leading quality assurance programmes, providing technical delivery support, education and training programmes, and driving specialist areas of research and innovation. The Knowledge and Innovation team add significant value to Jasmax projects ensuring each reach rigorous design and delivery standards. They also ensure that our teams have access to the latest information and are able to advise clients on quality, compliance, risk management, and innovation pathways.
An architect with over 30 years’ experience, Stephen brings unparalleled knowledge of materials, products and buildability along with commercial insight into the design, construction and regulatory controls involved in delivering projects successfully. Since joining Jasmax in 2008, Stephen has contributed to the on-going evolution of low-carbon and mass timber technologies appropriate to the seismic and environmental conditions particular to Aotearoa New Zealand.
Stephen is a member of the Society of Construction Law, an NZRAB Assessor and regular contributor to NZIA, MBIE and BRANZ workshops and submissions.
