Laura Cooke

Laura Cooke is an Associate Principal and architect with over 17 years’ experience in the United Kingdom, China and Aotearoa New Zealand. With projects spanning the commercial, transport, community, healthcare and education sectors, Laura’s expertise encompasses architecture and urban design. 

Laura is currently leading the Fale Malae project, a unique cultural space for the people of Aotearoa to celebrate their relationship to Te Moana Nui-a-Kiwa (the Pacific Ocean). This landmark development is planned for Te Whanganui a Tara Wellington’s waterfront. Laura previously led the design and delivery of the nearby BNZ Place office tower for Newcrest completed in 2023 and is now contributing to the design of 61 Molesworth Street for Precinct Properties. 

While working for HASSELL in the UK, she led the design of a new Business School for the University of Glasgow.
