Two new Principals appointed to Jasmax Health Team
We warmly welcome Sandee Stanley and Melanie Mason as Principals to Jasmax’s Health Team. Sandee and Melanie bring extensive experience spanning health planning, hospital design and master planning both in Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia.
The appointment of these two high achievers reinforces Jasmax’s commitment to improving the quality and sustainability of healthcare environments across the country.

Sandee has dedicated her nearly 20-year career to the health sector. During this time, she spent almost a decade in Australia, where she led the development of the Nelune Comprehensive Cancer Centre for the Bright Alliance at Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney, and worked on Sunshine Coast Hospital, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse Cancer Centre, Dubbo Hospital Redevelopment, and Liverpool Hospital Clinical Services Building Redevelopment. Most recently, she has been leading the strategic master planning for Nelson, Whangārei and Tauranga Hospitals.
Over her career, Melanie has spent 16 years working in the health sector. She brings experience in public and private healthcare models and is a leading expert in mental health facility health planning and design in Aotearoa New Zealand. The projects she has delivered in this specialist sector have contributed to a reimagining of the delivery of mental health services in this country, placing patient wellbeing at the heart of design. Her largest recent projects include the Tiaho Mai acute mental health unit at Middlemore Hospital, the 4 Star Greenstar Hillmorton Specialist Mental Health Development for Canterbury District Health Board, and the design of the É Tu Wairau Hinengaro forensic mental health unit at the Mason Clinic for Waitematā District Health Board.
