Classic, contemporary living
With interior design by Jasmax and architecture by Leuschke Group Architects, Mountview Apartments will offer a range of premium-quality inner-city residences, nestled in the heart of Newmarket.
The 13-storey development will house 56 apartments and three double-storey townhouses inspired by the site’s historic and natural surroundings.
Bespoke interiors celebrating craftsmanship will provide residents with panoramic views of the CBD, Auckland Domain and Rangitoto Island.
The building sits on a crossroad of two volcanic viewshafts, creating a unique interior footprint. Jasmax worked closely with Leuschke Group Architects to ensure every inch of the floor plate was maximised, yet functional for the purchaser.
Inspired by its unique location and context
The interior design concept for Mountview Apartments will complement the development’s spectacular views, drawing on the context of the site, which sits above a historic natural reservoir. Originating under the Domain, this reservoir provided water to Auckland in the early days of settlement, and later to Lion Breweries’ headquarters, which previously stood where the new apartments will be located.
The interior design celebrates this history with two colour schemes themed ‘natural’ and ‘machined’. ‘Natural’ tones take inspiration from the transformative states of water, from ice to malleable liquid and vapor. The ‘machined’ concept is inspired by the transformation of grain into beer and malt.
