Rameka Alexander-Tu'inukuafe

An Associate and Architectural Graduate within Jasmax, Rameka has a specific focus on integrating cultural design in built projects.

His recent experience includes Tūhoe’s landmark tribal headquarters, Te Kura Whare, and a number of projects that are utilising the Te Aranga Māori Design Principles. In addition, Rameka is leading an internal project in the ongoing education of Jasmax in tikanga Māori, which has led to the successful establishment of a practice waiata and whakatau process for manuhiri.

Rameka’s main motivation for pursuing a career in architecture and design is to integrate a grounded post-indigenous approach to design, which positively challenges the architecture and design profession to find new and exciting ways to engage with the world.
