Adept at collaboration and thinking strategically, Clem’s 15+ years within an ever evolving design industry enables him to take a broad strategic view of problems to imagine the future.
Clem currently leads the Brand Design practice group, which he co-founded with Jasmax principal Nick Moyes in 2017. Clem’s ability to apply his experience design and visual communication skills within the built environment and adjacent industries is unique. The team currently works from the Auckland studio across a portfolio of projects focussed on brand experience for people and places, place-branding, wayfinding and signage programmes and cultural integration within public spaces.
Recent projects for Brand Design have spanned all key practice areas with project highlights including the Western Springs College Ngā Puna O Waiōrea Signage System, success in bringing to market Avant Groups Kōtuitui terrace housing project in Manukau City in collaboration with Colliers International and launching a high performance outdoor brand for international client ARTILECT®. The Brand Design team were also closely involved in devising the Jasmax Brand Identity which was awarded a Gold Pin at the Designers Institute of New Zealand Best Design Awards in 2020.
Clem maintains close relationships within the design industry and academia both globally and within New Zealand. During 2020 he was selected as a judge for the global Young Guns creative programme hosted by The One Club of New York alongside external moderation for the AUT Art and Design programme.
