Callum Dowie

Callum Dowie is a highly skilled architect within Jasmax’s education team, having spent almost 15 years working on inspiring teaching and learning spaces. In this time, Callum has developed excellent collaboration skills with key stakeholders involved in complex school projects and has gained invaluable experience overcoming tectonic challenges regularly seen in the completion of durable education buildings within tight timeframes.

Callum’s notable contribution to Jasmax’s education portfolio includes the award-winning redevelopment of Avondale College, Stonefields School and Sacred Heart College’s School of Imagination. Most recently, Callum was the project architect on a pair of new primary schools in South Auckland, Mangapikopiko and Ngākōroa Schools, as well as Auckland Grammar School’s Te Ara Matuaranga Library. These projects reflect a pioneering approach to Innovative Learning Environments that promote student-led approaches to learning.

In 2022, Callum’s own home — which he designed alongside his partner — was a recipient of an NZIA Local Architecture Award.
