The Designer’s Institute of New Zealand (DINZ) hosted a glamorous evening to celebrate the design industry and the work it has delivered this year, at the 2015 Best Design Awards.
As part of this celebration, Jasmax is pleased to congratulate the hard work of the client, contractor and our colleagues that were recognised on the night!
Icebreaker’s Workplace Design received a Gold Pin in the Offices and Workplace Environments category for their unconventional Ponsonby headquarters. Staying true to the brand’s ‘Born in Nature, Worn in Nature’ philosophy, Icebreaker’s headquarters capture their core values in a playful and soulful environment, while accommodating a diverse range of organisational activities.
While two joint collaborations, of which Jasmax played a key role in, were distinguished within the toughly competed Exhibition Installations and Temporary Structures category.
The first, a collaboration with Colenso BBDO, is Samsung’s Home Smart Home. Awarded Gold, the project was an innovative project which explored the feasibility of design- and appliance- led prefabricated housing in the New Zealand market.
The second is a collaboration with Auckland’s War Memorial Museum. The project team’s Gallipoli in Minecraft® exhibition was a playful creation which looked to support and enhance the theatre behind Alfriston College’s educational digital game which recreated the infamous terrain at Gallipoli during World War II.
